Happy Friday loves!! I hope you all have had a fabulous week! Can you believe that July is almost over? It’s so crazy how time flies. I’m still over here wishing I was back in Bermuda right now. This outfit was one that I rocked while in Bermuda!! It is seriously so comfy and looks great with a tan. (PS: It’s only 19 bucks) Now, onto the review.
The Hamilton Princess
A little background: B and I stayed at the Hamilton Princess in mid July for 7 days and 6 nights. Coming from Philadelphia…we were pleasantly surprised at how quick the flight was! In under 2 hours we had landed in Bermuda, cruised through customs and were in a cab to our hotel. Can’t beat that!
We stayed in the beautiful and newly renovated Poinciana Wing. In my opinion, this was an ideal location bc we were a very short walk to the lobby, pool, and restaurants. We stayed on the third level in a deluxe King room. It was beautifully done with blue hues and marble appointed bathrooms. It was very clean and the space is used well. We had a little balcony with two chairs and a table where we could enjoy some drinks and take in the view of the beautiful gardens. (The pics of my outfit are in the gardens just below our balcony!)
Just look at the pics!! This hotel keeps the grounds looking impeccable. When I say clean, I mean, I didn’t even see one piece of trash laying around. There are many spots to relax with seating and the views can’t be beat. Everywhere you look, you see the beautiful yachts and crystal blue water.
There are two pools. One pool sits in the area where the spa and gym are and is for adults only. The second and what I considered the main pool looks out onto the marina and has an infinity/overflow feature. The water was warm, waiters bring you food and drinks, and we never had trouble finding a spot to sit! There are plenty of seats in the sun and shade. My favorite part were the the loungers that sat out in the shallow part of the water. Most days, B and I would hit up the beaches earlier in the day and then finish at the pool before we got ready for dinner.
The Princess Beach Club is a private beach just for the Hamilton Princess. There is a jitney that runs every 30 minutes to and from the hotel to the beach club. After a short 15 minute ride, you arrive at a beautifully kept little slice of heaven. Complete with hammocks in the water, tons of rafts, and beachside service…it can’t be beat! There is also a full service bar, restaurant, and air conditioned bathrooms! You even have your own button to push at your loungers to signal the waiters that you would like service. On a random side note, on our last day at the beach club, we had to wait just a few minutes extra for a jitney to arrive. The waiters brought us fresh smoothies and cold towels while we waited!! Talk about 5 star service!
The food!!!!! AHHH….SOOOO GOOD! We seriously did not have one bad thing to eat. We absolutely loved every single bite of food. Marcus is the restaurant that was created by Chopped Judge, Marcus Samuelsson. We ate here our first night and were very impressed! Try the jerk chicken salad and mojitos!! The bar here stays open the latest on the property, closing at 1 am. 1609 is an open air restaurant that overlooks the marina. We loved grabbing flatbreads here for lunch bc it is just a short walk from the pool. B also loved getting some scoops of the artisan ice cream at night! We ate at Crown and Anchor for lunch as well!! So yummy!!! We had the chicken club and quesadilla. Both were delicious! Overall, we were very impressed at the effort put into serving high quality food and the presentation was impeccable! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!!
We weren’t sure what to expect for nightlife in Bermuda as it is known to be a relaxing and chill place to visit. The Hamilton Princess provides fabulous entertainment depending on the time of year. While we were there, there was live music in the Crown and Anchor restaurant. They played covers of popular songs and everyone was up dancing and singing. It was so much fun!! We also attended “Marina Night”. This was SO COOL!! Everyone headed down to the landing that overlooked the marina. You could buy drink tickets and their was a DJ spinning some pretty awesome music!! The best part about the events at Hamilton Princess is that they usually start around happy hour time and end on the earlier side. I say this because, you don’t have to worry about super loud music when trying to sleep!! It was the perfect amount of nightlife for us!
This right here is why I strongly recommend this hotel/resort. I CANNOT say ENOUGH about the hospitality. Everyone was so, so, so kind. We were always greeted with a smile and a good morning/afternoon/evening by every single person on the hotel staff! The staff was was always willing to help us out when we had any questions or guidance with anything on the island. We never waited long for food, our bags, or a cab!! If you travel to Hamilton Princess, you’ll get to meet Carvel!! He works at the front doors and is probably the first smiling face you will see when you arrive and the last one you’ll see before you leave! He is one of the longest working staff members there and he is simply the best! He will surely brighten your day!
In closing, the Hamilton Princess was worth every penny we spent. You will not be disappointed booking this hotel! Feel free to drop me a comment or any questions you may have about our stay at Hamilton Princess.
*This is NOT a sponsored post. I felt compelled to write a review after our visit. We will surely be back to Hamilton Princess, sooner than later!
