Happy Tuesday friends!! I hope you all are having a lovely week so far. I’ve been pretty pumped over here in Philly bc the temps are finally starting to get a little warmer! Yipeee!!! B and I are still on the packing trail and have been moving stuff down to my Mom’s house every weekend. Fun fact: B and I left all of our band new wedding gifts at my mom’s bc we wanted to wait to use them for our new home!! I’ve been waiting soooooo patiently to use all of them. I seriously CANNOT WAIT to move in the new pad and open everything back up!! It’s going to be so fun. In other news, our home inspection report was very minimal on our current home, so that was a HUGE weight off of our shoulders. Only 29 days (not that I’m counting or anything) until the big move! Got any packing or moving tips?? Give this girl a shout below in the comments and let me know!! I appreciate any advice or tips you have for me!!

It’s been a hot minute since I posted a travel guide for a city I’ve visited. If you have been following along for a little bit, then you know B and I recently traveled to Jacksonville and St. Augustine’s over Super Bowl Weekend. I’ll be real with y’all…before I started dating Brian, I  had honestly never even heard of St. Augustine. Now that I have been there many times, it is one of my absolute fave places to visit. It is just so dang gorgeous. We are very fortunate bc B’s uncle Ed and Aunt Joanne have a beautiful home in Jacksonville and another equally gorgeous beach home in St. Augustine. We are so very lucky to get to visit whenever we want! In fact, we are hoping to head back down in May to visit again.

I thought it would be fun to give you guys a little glimpse into this wonderful little town and all it has to offer. There are tons of things to do not just in St. Aug, but in the surrounding area. Without further adieu, here are a few of my favorite things to do in St. Aug!

Things to Do

Did you know that St. Aug is considered to be the oldest city in the US? It was founded by Spanish settlers in 1565. Remember Ponce De Leon from history books? Yeah, he was there too. There even is a fountain of youth that you can visit!!

Take a stroll through downtown St. Augustine

I could walk around here for hours!! In my opinion the best way to do this is to park in the parking garage and just wander about!! B and I take a slow stroll, hit up our favorite boutiques, and little bars along the way.

I can’t even describe to you how fun all of the little shops are in St. Aug. I could go on and on!! There are so many unique places, from clothing to home to a hot sauce shop, they have it all!

Here are a few of my favorite boutiques to shop. I always pick up a little something when I am down there. In this post….I’m rocking an adorable sweater I got from the Red Pineapple Boutique.

Red Pineapple Boutique  //  Two Sparrows //  Fresh Produce

Where to Grab a Cocktail

Omg, there are so many cute little cocktail places to check out. My favorite part is that they have tons of places with live music!! The streets are always filled with amazing sounds and smells. My absolute fave is the Ice Plant! It is attached to the St. Aug distillery and they make AMAZING craft cocktails…you won’t be disappointed. Try the Old Fashioned with their signature bourbon. So yummy.

The Ice Plant //  San Sebastian Winery (hello, rooftop deck!!)  //  Columbia  //  Sangrias

Where to Eat

I’m no stranger to good food. If I had my way and could eat whatever I want without gaining a pound, then damn straight, you know I’d be doing it!! Whenever B and I travel to a new location or an old favorite, we are always on the hunt for new restaurants to try!! Over the past few times that we have been to St. Aug, these are def tops in our book! My fave, again is the Ice Plant. The atmosphere is on point and the fish tacos I had last time were bomb!!

Columbia //  Harry’s  //  The Ice Plant //  O.C. White’s

Feeling Touristy???

I love a good tourist attraction every once in a while. I don’t like to spend my whole trip, but you what they say…”when in Rome”. I always have a little FOMO, just in case I might not ever return to that location. Because of that, I try to hit up at least one touristy type attraction when I visit a place. Don’t miss the fort….even if you don’t go in. You must check it out…so beautiful and they shoot off a real cannon at certain times of the day!

Red Train Company  //  Wine Carriage Tours //  Castillo de San Marcos  // The Fountain of Youth //  Oldest Schoolhouse

Just a Short Drive Away

If you don’t mind driving a few short minutes, you can hit up a few of other favorite places!! Ponte Vedra is a tiny beach town right outside of St. Aug. It is home to one of the prettiest restaurants/ bars.

Cap’s On the Water

Cannot say enough about this place. Click the link and I promise you WILL NOT be disappointed! Set on the water, with beautiful Spanish Moss trees all around, it is just gorgeous. As an added bonus, the trees are lit with twinkle lights at night. Great place for cocktails or even a romantic dinner by the water.

Salt Life Shack

This is such a fun place. Located right across from the beach with ocean views, it’s a dope spot for lunch. Try the tacos!!! So yummy. B and I always like to stop in the shopping area and pick up some salt scrub and Salt Life gear.

Have you ever been to St. Augustine? If you have, what was your favorite part? If you have any questions or are traveling to St. Aug in the future, let me know and I’d be happy to help out with recs. Drop me a comment below and I’ll get back to you.
