Happy Tuesday friends!! I hope you all are having a lovely week so far! I know for us Philly peeps, it has been a extremely fun and exciting few days because the Eagles are headed to the Super Bowl!! Bring It Brady!! If the tickets weren’t 5,000 each…you bet your booty I’d be headed to Minnesota! In other news….B and I went to visit the construction site of our new home this weekend to show his mom the progress. Since it was so warm we seized the moment and brought all of the contractors pizza to thank them for all of their hard work. Those poor guys had been working on our home in negative temperatures so we wanted to make sure they knew how much we appreciate their work on making our dream home a reality. Stay tuned for more house updates as we move along!!

So, now for the real fun of my post for today!! I am so, so, pumped to share this smoothie recipe with y’all today bc #1: It’s only 4 ingredients  #2: It’s super healthy  #3: It’s delicious!!! Read on to see how to make this delicious green smoothie!!

Here’s what you’ll need:

Yields 2 Servings (If you only want one, just change all the 2’s to 1’s below)

Calories: 187 via the MyFitnessPal app

2 cups Almond or Coconut Milk (unsweetened)

2 cups frozen strawberries

2 small bananas of 1 large

2 cups of fresh spinach

How to make:

Before we get started on this easy peasy little gem of a smoothie, a couple of tips. One, you don’t need any sort of fancy blender. My brand new Ninja Blender is already packed and sitting at my mom’s house where we are storing our stuff before the big move. So, all I have at our current house is my super old 20 dollar blender and it has no problem blending this easy smoothie!! Another tip is to make sure you get frozen strawberries! This alleviates you having to add any ice…so yay, one less step!! Last, if you want to be even healthier AF, add a tablespoon of flax or chia seeds.

First, add two heaping cups of spinach to blender. Then, pour in two cups of unsweetened coconut or almond milk. Blend until you get a “green juice” consistency.

Then, add one cup of frozen strawberries in at a time and blend. This is when you’ll start to see a little more of a smoothie consistency.

Next, peel the bananas and break into chunks. Drop the chunks into the blend and blend again. At this point, if it’s too thick, I add a splash or two of milk to thin it out. If it’s too thin, I’ll add more frozen strawberries.

Last, pour into tall glasses or tumblers if you are taking it to go!! Here are a few tumblers that I love!! Sip and enjoy!!

Do you drink green smoothies??? What’s your favorite recipe?? I’m always on the hunt for new ones to try!! I’d love to hear your recs. Drop me a comment below.
