Happy Wedding Wednesday all!! I can’t believe how close we are creeping up to our one year anniversary. Does anybody else feel like time just flies by in a hot minute. In keeping with Wedding Wednesday, I thought I’d share a post today about bridesmaids dresses and accessories. In my humble opinion, the bridesmaids are pretty darn important when it comes to your wedding day. Those amazing gals will be there for you though everything from, holding your dress up while you use the ladies room to making sure every single hair is in place to handing you tissues to prevent you from sporting the “ugly cry”. So, it’s v important to make sure these lovely ladies get to look and feel their absolute best too.
Once, I had come up with the color palette for our wedding, I knew it was it was time to go hunting for bridesmaids dresses. When I chose my color palette, I knew I wanted to keep the dresses for the girls in a neutral color. I ended up choosing a deep navy which was perfect for fall and a wedding by the water. Little did I know, there were soooooooo many gosh darn shades of navy!! I searched and searched all around the greater Philadelphia in department stores and boutiques, but just couldn’t find what I had envisioned. I was starting to get really frustrated until one day, when I was doing my usual nighttime ritual of scrolling through Pinterest…alas there it was. Ladies, y’all need to write this website don’t pronto. It’s called the Dessy Group and it’s your one stop shop for you maids and flower girls. I was so pumped when I saw that they carry convertible dresses. I wanted to be able to give my bridesmaids the option of wearing their dress in the style that they felt most comfortable. This dress was just the thing to achieve that. It comes in tons of colors and is able to styled in nine different ways. It just so happened that each of my bridesmaids liked a different style, so it made for a really stunning and unique but cohesive look. Don’t they all look just gorgeous???
Welp, ladies…Kendra Scott. Oops, she did it again!! If y’all missed my post about my own wedding jewelry, you can peep it here. I designed my custom jewelry using Kendra Scott’s planner and I was and still am in love with my wedding jewelry. Once, i knew how much I loved my own, I knew i had to hook my ladies up with some too. I love that you can mix and match styles and color and it will still look put together. Plus, Kendra Scott pieces are so versatile!! They looked fabulous all dressed up for our wedding day, but my girls have worn them tons of times in a more casual way with jeans etc. i chose the jewelry for each girl based on the style of their dress. It turned out that my bridesmaids all had similar looks and so did the junior bridesmaids, so I was able to style accordingly.
How did you style your bridesmaids? There are so many fun styles and ideas out there…I’d love to hear how you came to your final decision! Drop me a comment below.
